“This school year has been different from the previous ones, it made the children have a process of readjustment to the school both socially, emotionally, and academically, taking into account that there was 100% attendance. Our children arrived after having experienced difficult situations in which there was probably little emotional balance and disorder of routines and habits. Therefore, the consequence of this may be reflected in the academic area, with low grades, indications to follow vacation courses or even repeating grades“, says MA. Mary Castro, the psychologist of our clinic, gives us a series of recommendations on how to face this difficult situation.
Remember:
It is important to recognize that, as parents, we have a responsibility to be constantly attentive to our children’s academic progress and physical and emotional development. In addition, we must remember that our children are counting on us to overcome any difficulties they may face. Therefore, we must provide them with the necessary support and accompaniment.
