After high school, teenagers face the challenge of choosing a career path. While some are clear about their path, others face doubts that can generate anxiety. This is usually related to the fear of making mistakes, family pressure, lack of information or the fear of not meeting expectations. Alexandra Sabal, psychologist of our clinic, teaches us how to help our children in this stage that requires patience, empathy and guidance, without imposition.
How can you support your child?
Remember:
Your child’s vocation does not define his or her entire life. Explain that people evolve and can reinvent themselves. Your role as a parent is to provide support and encourage self-knowledge, prioritizing their well-being and personal development over external expectations. A well-supported vocational decision will mark the beginning of a purposeful and fulfilling life.
