• You can donate if you are in good health and between 18 and 60 years old
• Before donating, you can eat a light, fat-free breakfast. If you donate after lunch, wait at least 4 hours
• If you are menstruating without heavy bleeding and your hemoglobin is greater than 12.5 g / dl, you can donate
• After the extraction, drink plenty of fluids during the day and do not exert yourself for 24 hours
• Controlled hypertensive and diabetic patients with oral treatment can donate. Also those who have suffered hepatitis A in childhood
• To donate again, men must wait 3 months and women 4
• If you are breastfeeding, you will have to wait 6 months after the end of breastfeeding, in order to regain your iron stores
• If you have had a tattoo, piercing, permanent makeup or acupuncture therapy, you must wait 1 year to donate
• If you had surgery, you must wait 6 months; if you received a blood transfusion, 1 year. If you receive antibiotics, wait 1 week after treatment

  Exceptions to consider:

• Patients with coronary heart disease will not be able to donate. Nor those who have suffered hepatitis B and C, HIV, Chagas disease or syphilis
• If you use acne medications, antiarrhythmics or insulin, you cannot donate
