The academic event gathered almost 800 participants at a national level, both in person and virtually.

The event aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills of the professional attendees.

The role of nursing professionals is crucial for the recovery of patients. In an effort to promote and contribute to its development, Clinica Ricardo Palma held the XII International Nursing Congress: “Assuming new challenges and perspectives in care”, aimed at nursing graduates, technicians and students.

The academic event, which lasted 3 days and had the participation of speakers from Europe and South America, had the following themes: Strengthening the competencies of the nursing professional, transforming nursing care and Nursing committed to improvement of processes.

“The objective of the congress was to enhance the professional training of nurses, disseminate the new challenges and roles in the administration and management in health services, as well as the use of digital tools to boost efficiency, excellence and telecare,” said Mag. Ana Cabello, Director of Nursing at the Clinica Ricardo Palma.

She added that meetings such as this one contribute to the knowledge and comprehensive development of nurses through academic activities and the promotion of best practices in the specialty based on scientific evidence, which favors the improvement of patient care and quality of life.

During the academic day, workshops were held on the application of the six international objectives of patient safety, management of venous access, practical guidelines on the prevention of dependency-related injuries and intervention in the management of diabetic foot, where specialists exchanged knowledge and experiences.
