Clinica Ricardo Palma is carrying out the final works for the upcoming inauguration of its new Maternity Unit, which will incorporate its innovative Labor and Recovery Unit (UTPR), a unit specialized in the care of the expectant mother and her baby, which will guarantee the humanization of childbirth and first level neonatal care.
“We are proud to announce the construction and early inauguration of this state-of-the-art healthcare project, which represents a valuable precedent in the country, with a first-class implementation in gynecological-obstetric care. The Labor and Recovery Units (UTPR) have been designed and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and multidisciplinary staff that will guarantee the highest quality standards for a unique and safe delivery,” says Dr. Antonio Feria, General Manager of Clinica Ricardo Palma.
Likewise, the UTPR will have multiple possibilities to develop the process of dilation and delivery according to the needs of the pregnant woman. “During dilation, delivery, and postpartum, the pregnant woman will be permanently monitored. Our objective is to facilitate the maternity experience as such, to make it unique and as comforting as possible, guaranteeing the whole process in one, which allows the mother to initiate skin-to-skin contact with the newborn, also favoring exclusive breastfeeding,” says Dr. Vanesa Ruiz, gynecologist at Clinica Ricardo Palma.
” Childbirth is truly unique and special, therefore our goal as gynecologists is to accompany mothers in this process, providing support, care, and the necessary specialized guidance, so that they can live this moment with confidence and fulfillment. The permanent presence of gynecologists as well as pediatricians, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, and/or any other specialist that may be required, is the reflection of attention focused on humanized childbirth as well as everything that will surround the newborn, favoring a better preparation for when, finally, both will be discharged”, highlights Dr. Sandra Franco, gynecologist of Clinica Ricardo Palma.
With its Labor and Recovery Unit, Clinica Ricardo Palma is projected as one of the Peruvian health institutions at the forefront of quality care for pregnant mothers, offering an evolved system of humanized and safe childbirth, which responds faithfully to its policy of ensuring the best service and excellent treatment and care for their patients.
