Virtually anyone can be vaccinated. However, vaccination is discouraged or should be postponed in specific situations or when certain organic diseases occur:

• Chronic diseases or treatments (such as chemotherapy) that affect the immune system;
• Severe or life-threatening allergies to vaccine components (it should be noted that these allergies are very rare);
• A serious illness on the day of vaccination. However, children with a serious illness on the day of vaccination should be vaccinated as soon as they are well. Illnesses of moderate intensity and low fever do not contraindicate vaccination.

Even so, these factors usually vary depending on the vaccine. If you are not sure whether you or your child can receive a certain vaccine, consult a healthcare professional. They will help you make an informed decision about your or your child’s vaccination.
