Ovarian cancer is one of the most aggressive types of gynecological cancer with high mortality. The earlier it is diagnosed, the better the chances of recovery. However, it is difficult to diagnose it early, so it is detected in advanced stages and becomes more difficult to treat. Treatment
The most effective way to fight ovarian cancer is through surgery, removing the affected area. On the other hand, if there is metastasis, the treatment consists of performing chemotherapy.
Prevention
So far there is no specific prevention method. However, it is important for all women once their sexual activity has begun to undergo a comprehensive gynecological evaluation annually, in order to detect any anomaly early. In addition, a screening should be done for cervical cancer and in general for other neoplasms.
