Laparoscopy tower and high-resolution fluorescence

The laparoscopic tower has a monitor that makes it possible to distinguish whether the blood perfusion to organs and tissues is adequate. In addition, with the reproduction of images on the screen, the surgeon sees the anatomical structure of the patient and overcomes the visual limitation that can sometimes be experienced when performing a conventional (open) surgery.

On the other hand, high-resolution fluorescence is performed with indocyanine green, a fluorescent dye that is administered intravenously to impregnate the intervened area. This allows to visualize, in real time, the anatomy intra-operatively once the vision is activated on the monitor that is used.

Fluorescence laparoscopy can be applied in the following fields:
