Anticipating the summer, we look forward to having the desired body, so we regularly go to the gym to reduce the extra kilos and thus see ourselves fit. When this is not the case, some people resort to faster treatments to reduce those measures that they could not eliminate during the year, without realizing that some of them are harmful and can put health at risk.
On the other hand, there are people who follow a strict routine to eliminate fat but still do not get a favorable result. In this case, there are short, painless and effective treatments that help to reduce centimeters in the most problematic areas of the body, such as the abdomen, thighs, arms or chin. It is no longer necessary to undergo surgical intervention since results can be obtained with non-invasive procedures.
Rita Garcia, Cosmetologist at the Center for Alternative Therapy and Anti-Aging, says there are two treatments widely used this season for its speed and effectiveness. “One of them is cool sculpting, a method that offers the reduction of centimeters in a single session, by freezing the fat. The second one is diathermy, which are waves that affect the adipose tissue, achieving its reduction and toning in an average of six to ten sessions depending on the area and volume to work. In addition, the infiltration of lipolytic substances is also used a lot in aesthetic medicine by a technique called mesotherapy and works by areas achieving a reduction of between 2 and 4 cm in one session.”
There are also treatments with ampoules, where you can see results from the third and fourth sessions. Dr. Rosario Ramírez Gálvez, Physician at the Aesthetic Medicine Center of Clínica Ricardo Palma, explains: “The ampoule-based body treatment consists of the application of microinjections with different active ingredients such as vitamins, proteins, trace elements, non-cross linked hyaluronic acid to reduce localized fat, cellulite and sagging.”
The complement
For the above-mentioned treatments to be more effective, it is advisable to exercise and have a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and lean meats, in addition to consuming two liters of water daily. “The treatments are complemented with radiofrequency and lymphatic drainage. It is suggested to perform muscle toning exercises or abdominal muscle contraction exercises. A varied diet without being excessive. Foods rich in fiber for their satiating capacity, proteins for their anabolic action and structure formation, as well as their “fat consumption” effect, help us very much, recommends the Cosmetologist Rita García.
It is ideal to reduce the consumption of processed foods and chose for a measured and healthy portion of food. For example, at lunch make half of your plate vegetables and the other half a piece of meat or chicken or potato, sweet potato or a piece of cassava. Also, reduce the consumption of salt, sugar and ultra-processed foods.
